Organizations that have primary source authority to assert claims about the individual identity and qualifications (e.g., institution, government, state board of nursing) use Velocity Network to issue the individual a digitally signed, tamper-proof and cryptographically secured credential that includes these claims. The individual stores these credentials in a digital wallet and stacks them as they navigate their career, acquiring additional qualifications.
When required, they can share these credentials via any digital conduit with any relying party (e.g., prospective employer, financial services provider) to prove their qualifications. Using advanced cryptography, the relying party is able to instantly verify the credential can be trusted, without the need to connect with the original issuer.
Every credential is signed by the issuing organizations, and when verified, serves as immutable evidence for the source of the claims the appear on it.
