Beyond POC - Velocity’s Thriving Ecosystem

The Labor Market Ecosystem

We chose the labor market as the first ecosystem to focus our efforts on because it presents a clear and immediate need for trusted, verifiable data. Employment and education credentials are foundational to economic mobility, and the current systems for verifying them are fragmented, inefficient, and often prone to fraud. By addressing these pain points with verifiable credentials, we can deliver real, measurable value to a broad set of stakeholders—employers, educators, individuals, and governments—while driving early adoption at scale. This ecosystem offers both high urgency and high impact, making it the ideal launchpad for broader adoption across additional domains.

Backed by the world’s most influential labor market associations, NGOs, and top software vendors serving work and education, this live ecosystem is gaining strong traction—with over 1 million users and millions of credentials already issued by hundreds of institutions.

Deploying this use case on Velocity Network represents the most ambitious collaborative endeavor ever undertaken by the world's most influential labor market and education stakeholders to create a decentralized infrastructure layer for globally-inclusive, privacy preserving "Proof of Qualifications".
