# Person Binding

To support high-integrity use cases, Velocity Network implements cryptographic holder binding that enables relying parties to trust that the individual presenting a credential is the same individual to whom the credential was originally issued. It guarantees that only the rightful owner can present and utilize the credential, preventing copying or cloning credentials from another holder’s wallet.
